Job summary

Texas Health Mansfield is seeking a RN leader to oversee the trauma program, ensuring optimal patient care and coordinating education with department leadership. The role is a full-time, day-shift position in Mansfield, TX, with a pay range reflected below.

The position requires a Bachelor’s of Nursing and 5+ trauma nursing experience, with a preference for a Master’s degree, TNCC/CATN certifications, and leadership background.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Nursing is required.
  • Master's of Nursing is preferred.
  • 5+ trauma program, emergency and/or critical care nursing experience is required.
  • 2+ years of previous leadership experience is preferred.
  • Experience with trauma registry and coding is preferred.
  • RN license is required.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • TNCC certification is preferred.
  • CATN certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies educational needs of nursing staff and facilitates specific education with department leadership.
  • Supports outreach education in cooperation with Trauma Outreach Manager and pre-hospital services.
  • Collaborates with local, regional, and national injury prevention and community outreach initiatives.
  • Oversees daily operations of the trauma program to ensure optimal care for injured patients.
  • Collaborates with nursing and other patient care departments to manage trauma patient and family care processes.
  • Supervises trauma performance improvement and patient safety activities in conjunction with the Trauma Medical Director.
  • Prepares and assists with monthly trauma performance improvement committee meetings.
