Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• RN licensure.
• ACLS and BLS certifications within 30 days.
• Trauma Outcome Performance Improvement Course within 12 months.
• PALS or ENPC certification within specified timeframes.
• Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses or TNCC within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the Trauma Process Improvement Program to meet local regulations and standards.
• Track and resolve trauma care issues in the PI process.
• Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate trauma care education improvements.
• Integrate the trauma registry into the PI process and align with hospital-wide PI strategies.
• Update Trauma Department Dashboards and review PI project results.
• Create trauma education programs aligned with new guidelines and evidence.
• Provide trauma education in the Emergency Department and coordinate ATLS/ATCN/TNCC outreach.
• Participate in community and hospital outreach programs.
