Job summary

St John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Transfer Center, coordinating patient movement across Illinois and Wisconsin hospitals and clinics. You will apply clinical judgement with physicians to manage patient transport and placement, ensuring the right level of care.

The role operates nights (36 hrs/wk, 7pm-7am) with occasional weekend work, and requires an RN license in the state of practice and BLS certification. BSN is preferred to support care coordination.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• 3 years recent clinical experience in acute care is required.
• Critical care experience is preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patients through the state-wide Transfer Center.
• Facilitate management, placement, and transport of patients with physicians and clinical judgement.
