Summary of Job Duties:

As individuals dedicated to ensuring the safety and quick recovery of our patients, nurses are integral members of a team dedicated to providing the best care for patients through collaboration, communication, and patient safety. As part of the TOSH teams, Preop and PACU nurses define their practice through attention to nursing excellence and outstanding patient care, are driven by their expertise, compassion, and dedication to evidence-based practice, and operate at a higher level of practice. If you are an RN with current Preop and PACU experience, consider a career with The Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital at UAMS Health.

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care, requiring the ability to coordinate care for patients, triage patients, and collaborate with clinic providers, fellows, and staff. The role involves working with patient referral sources, facilitating appointments, coordinating care transitions, and providing patient education on complex conditions. The RN will work with patients, families, and providers to develop and implement personalized health plans.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Associate's degree in Nursing, Diploma RN, or Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Graduate of an accredited RN nursing program.
  • Valid Registered Nursing License.
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current BLS
  • ACLS certification
  • Scrubbing experience
  • Orthopedic experience (a plus)
  • EPIC experience
Additional Information:
