Job summary

Valle Vista Health System in Greenwood, IN is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week temporary assignment in a 132-bed psychiatric hospital. The RN will coordinate with the health care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, and will provide information on disease processes, medications, and ongoing care.

Shifts are 7:00 am to 7:30 pm; the role requires Indiana RN license and CPR/BLS certification; 5 year experience in psychiatric hospital setting

Valle Vista Health System is a 132-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful community of Greenwood, IN. Valle Vista Health System features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Valle Vista Health System. Valle Vista Health System is proud to be a teaching facility that supports local nursing students through our dedicated and tenured nursing team.

This is a temporary nursing position for a 13-week duration. The Registered Nurse (RN) consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. The RN provides information on the disease process, medications, and ongoing care to our patient population. The position is also responsible for monitoring, recording, and reporting symptoms or changes in a patient's condition. Work with the treatment team to provide a consistent therapeutic milieu.

NOTE: Candidates employed by any UHS facility within the last 6 months are not eligible.*

Hours: 7:00 am to 7:30 pm

Conditions: 13-week duration (up to 26 weeks). FT status - Must work 3 - 12 hour shifts per week to be eligible. Benefits are not available for this position.

Rate of Pay: $55.00 an hour

Training: A mandatory FT 2-week paid orientation class is required.
