Job summary

The Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the MMH 6 unit to deliver individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in line with hospital guidelines and ANA ethics.

This contract or time-limited role runs for a minimum of 13 weeks with a pay rate of $65.00 per hour and no benefits. The ideal candidate holds a BSN (or ADN with experience) and FL RN licensure or multi-state privileges.

Qualifications

• 1 year of inpatient hospital experience.
• Medical Surgery experience as a registered nurse.
• Bachelor's Degree in Science of Nursing.
• In lieu of Bachelors, an Associate's degree in Nursing plus 1 year of relevant experience may be considered.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Master's Degree Registered Nurse (RN) (preferred).
• RN-Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of FL, or a valid Multi-State privilege (must declare FL as primary State of residence within 30 days).

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families.
• Integrates patient and family centered care and the quality caring factors into practice.
• Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on learning needs of the patient.
• Participates in Evidence based improvement activities related to area of practice.
• Participates in professional development based on the nursing professionals standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations.

Summary

To deliver individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies and in accordance with ANA code of ethics and external regulatory agencies.

This is demonstrated in base-line and comparative documentation, entered in a timely manner, and with evidence of age-appropriate consideration when care is planned, delivered, and evaluated. This is a Contract or a Time limited position for a minimum of 13 weeks contract and extendable with notice. This position will pay $65.00 per hour with no benefits. We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse for our MMH 6 unit. This unit provides a dynamic working environment post op surgery patient. Our nursing staff provides knowledgeable and skilled care within a unique interdisciplinary team.
