ARMStaffing seeks Telemetry/Stroke Unit Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract. Night shifts run 19:00–07:30, with 3 × 12-hour shifts weekly, totaling 36 hours. Requires travel nursing experience, RN license, and BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications.

You’ll care for patients with chest pain, strokes, and post-catheterization needs. Responsibilities include monitoring vitals, administering meds, collaborating with the team, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Travel nursing experience required.
• Current RN license in the state of practice; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications mandatory.

Job Description

The Telemetry/Stroke Unit Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care for patients with various diagnoses including chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, post-cardiac catheterization patients, strokes, sepsis, and individuals undergoing alcohol and substance withdrawal.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and overall health status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding discharge instructions and health management.
• Participate in patient care rounds and contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with a focus on telemetry and stroke care.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• Experience in stroke care is essential.
