Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in Memphis seeks an RN to coordinate care across the continuum, assessing physical, psychological, and social needs and guiding patients and families through education, screening, prevention, and follow-up.

The role involves clear communication with providers, documenting patient data, performing clinical procedures within nursing scope, and sometimes handling telephone duties.

Formación

• Required - Associates Degree in Nursing
• Preferred - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• RN Tennessee license - Tennessee Board of Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Required - Associates Degree Nursing
• Preferred - Bachelor's Degree Nursing

Work Experience Requirements

• Required - Registered Nurse 0-1 years
• Preferred - Clinical nursing 1-3 years

Licenses and Certifications Requirements

• Required - BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association
• Required - Registered Nurse Tennessee - Tennessee Board of Nursing
• Preferred - Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledgeable of system's health resources in order to navigate the patient to appropriate care.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a desire to problem solve, and strong conflict resolution abilities.
• Strong computer skills.
• Must be a role model in customer service and patient care.
• Displays sensitivity and compassion.

Supervision Provided by this Position

• There are no supervisory roles assigned to this position.

Physical Demands

The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. The physical requirements of this position are: medium work - exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently. The Associate is required to have close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision to perform an activity, such as assessing patients, preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading. Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact. Exposure to patient body fluids as well as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials. Ability to react quickly to emergency situations. Ability to handle and administer medications, vaccinations and immunizations as needed.
