Job summary

Mercy in Granite City, IL is seeking a registered nurse to provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process while upholding professional accountability and patient rights. You will coordinate care with other departments and ensure confidentiality in all patient interactions.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited nursing program and hold a current RN license, with BLS certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure
• Graduate from a school of nursing (AD/ Diploma/ BSN)
• Basic Life Support certification or completion within 30 days of hire
• ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM or other unit-specific certifications may be required

Position Details

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Experience:
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department-required timeframe:

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

• S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
• C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
• Other unit-specific certifications as required.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
