Job summary

Mercy is seeking a registered nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process while upholding professional accountability. You will evaluate care effectiveness and coordinate patient care with other departments, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are maintained.

Ideal candidates will be graduates from an accredited nursing program and hold or obtain an active RN license in the hiring state or a compact license; BLS is required, with unit-specific certifications possible.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• Graduate from a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• BLS certification required; ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC may be required depending on unit.
• Other unit-specific certifications may be required.

Position Details

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Experience:
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department-required timeframe:

• C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
