Job summary

Mercy is seeking a registered nurse to provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process and to coordinate care with other departments. The role emphasizes accountability, patient rights, and confidentiality in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Qualified candidates will hold an RN license (state or compact) and a nursing degree (ADN/ Diploma/ BSN). BLS or completion within 30 days is required; various unit-specific certifications may be needed based on assignment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma or BSN).
• Maintain current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• BLS certification or purchase within 30 days of hire.
• One or more unit-specific certifications may be required (as listed).

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information.
