Hamilton Medical Center, Inc. is hiring for a nursing position focused on direct patient care in various settings. The candidate will manage patient care using the nursing process and handle responsibilities as a Shift Leader when needed.
A qualified applicant should have an Associate degree in Nursing and a current Georgia RN or multi-state license. This full-time role comes with benefits including retirement matching, dental insurance, and paid leave.
Provides direct care to patients on a given unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Is responsible for managing care of assigned patients. Demonstrates professional growth and development by assuming Shift Leader responsibilities as requested and/or in preparation for advancement to Level II or Level III. Works primarily with adult and geriatric patient populations or pediatric and adolescent patients on assigned units.
Education: Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program or will obtain prior to working as an RN.
Licensure: Current Georgia RN or a multi‑state license meeting eNLC criteria professional licensure or will obtain prior to beginning work as an RN. American Heart Association BLS CPR required.
Experience: None.
Skills: Nursing skills as defined in the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia.
Works in a typical acute health care setting with pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients experiencing a wide range of medical and/or surgical problems. Required to work a flexible schedule including weekends. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions. Requires exposure to communicable disease or body fluids.
