Job summary

Endeavor Health's Surgical Care Unit in Naperville is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

The role requires 1+ year RN experience, ADN or higher with BSN within five years, Illinois licensure, and CPR. The position is full time (36 hours/week) with days 7:00am–7:30pm and rotating weekends/holidays, offering competitive pay and benefits.

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or higher; if ADN is the highest degree, must graduate with a BSN within five years of start date.
  • Current State of Illinois RN licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Provides professional nursing care per the Illinois RN Practice Act and hospital policies.
  • Assesses patients, monitors progress, records observations, delegates tasks to staff.
  • Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals; duties may vary by unit or shift.

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

What you will need:
Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing

Required Education, Skills and/or Experience:
  • Requires 1+ years' of RN experience in an inpatient unit setting

  • Associate Degree or higher in Nursing

    • If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date.

Required License and/or Certification:
  • Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure

  • Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Basic Life Support

What you will do:

Provides professional nursing care according in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies and procedures. Employs critical thinking skills, assesses patients’ condition, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients’ progress, and records pertinent observations. Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff. Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.
