Job summary

Scripps Health is looking for a detail-oriented RN to assist in preparing operating rooms at La Jolla Green, a 173-bed hospital serving the La Jolla and greater San Diego communities. This full-time position involves ensuring the OR is well-prepared and maintaining a sterile environment.

The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of OR experience in various specialties, including Ortho, Neuro, and Robotics. Attractive benefits include a $4,000 bonus and a $3,000 relocation incentive for eligible new hires.

Job Overview

Full time, benefited, 12‑hour early day shift or RN position (03:30‑16:00) with varied call shifts at La Jolla Green in Torrey Pines. Orientation schedule will be 8 hours with a day shift start time a few hours later than the above schedule.

Bonus of $4,000 and relocation incentive of $3,000 to eligible new hires.

Responsibilities

Detail‑oriented RN will assist in preparing operating rooms for scheduled procedures during off‑peak hours, assist with first‑case preparedness, department breaks and lunches, potential daily room assignment due to staffing needs, continued setups throughout the shift and turnovers. The RN will ensure the OR is clean, sterile, verify that all OR equipment is functional, organized and positioned correctly; the OR is fully equipped before surgery, supporting the surgical team in maintaining a safe and efficient environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of OR experience, including but not limited to Ortho (total joints/LER), General, Urology, Vascular, Spine, Plastics, ENT, Robotics, Neuro, and Transplant. This is a busy, fast‑paced environment that requires teamwork and cooperation to provide the highest level of patient care.
