Job summary

Jobtailor in Federal Way, WA is seeking a nurse leader to manage administrative and nursing staff, ensuring safe and timely patient care. You will oversee daily operations across departments, prioritizing regulatory compliance, quality, and efficient patient flow.

The role requires a WA RN license, a BLS (or PEARS/PALS), and at least three years of pediatric nursing experience, with leadership preferred. This is a full-time on-site position offering growth in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
Master’s degree in Nursing may substitute if incumbent has another bachelor’s degree.
Minimum three (3) years as a pediatric nurse.
Current Washington State RN license.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire, or PEARS/PALS accepted in lieu of BLS.
Urgent Care supervisors must obtain PEARS within 6 months of employment and maintain it.
Experience in the assigned department’s specialty preferred.
Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide management and leadership to administrative and nursing staff delivering safe, timely, appropriate patient and family care and support services
Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned departments, including personnel management, facilities, supplies, equipment maintenance, regulatory compliance, quality, and customer service standards
Facilitate interdisciplinary communication, decision-making, and teamwork
Ensure cost-efficient resource allocation and appropriate, expeditious patient access and flow
Use PDCA and CPI methodology to identify areas for quality improvement, customer service, and safety
Direct staff activities in the absence of other management and staff during evenings, weekends, and holidays
