Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Pediatric ED Clinical Nurse Coord RN - Supervisor to lead nursing care in a busy pediatric emergency department. The CNC coordinates care, partners with the management team, and serves as a resource to staff to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.

The role requires a BSN, an active RN license, and at least 1 year of pediatric ER nursing experience, with Charge RN preferred. Opportunities include sign-on bonuses and comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas.
• BSN degree required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in Pediatric Emergency Dept.
• Charge RN experience preferred.
• ACLS, BCLS, ENPC, TNCC and PALS certifications completed or valid.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, supervise and support pediatric ED nursing care.
• Assist with admissions and discharges and patient throughput.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and staff development.
• Assist with staff scheduling and unit operations.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit. In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies. The CNC serves as a resource for staff and supports an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
• Assist with admission and discharge processes.
• Partner with subject matter experts and leadership team to support improved outcomes and service.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
• Assist with staff scheduling.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date
• Registered Nurse
• BSN required
• Minimum 1 year Registered Nurse experience in the Pediatric Emergency Dept
• Charge RN experience
