Pikes Peak Post Acute in Zion, IL seeks an experienced RN Supervisor to oversee day-to-day nursing activities during the tour of duty, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards while maintaining the highest quality of care. The role includes coordinating resident care, supervising LVNs/LPNs and CNAs, performing skilled assessments, and leading staff orientation and ongoing training.

The primary responsibility of the RN Supervisor is to supervise the day‑to‑day nursing activities of the facility during the tour of duty. This supervision must comply with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility and may be required by the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Assist with the overall supervision of and management of the nursing staff.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Current Registered Nursing License (RN) and current CPR certification.
Must maintain all required continuing education/licensing and remain in good standing with the State Board of Nursing at all times.
The essential functions of this position require the following physical abilities: standing and/or walking very frequently; sitting occasionally; reaching with hands and arms frequently, pushing and pulling very frequently; talking and/or hearing very frequently; tasting and/or smelling very frequently; lifting up to 50 pounds frequently; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling occasionally; and clear vision with the ability to adjust focus.
No travel requirements beyond normal daily duties.
