Job summary

Putnam Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Putnam County, New York is seeking an RN Supervisor to lead a skilled nursing unit. The role requires clinical expertise, supervision of staff, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care.

You will oversee patient care plans, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage emergencies while ensuring compliance with nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Current and in-good-standing RN license in the State of New York.
• Experience with geriatric, short-term rehabilitation, or Alzheimer's care desirable.
• Progressive nursing experience in a geriatric setting; supervisory experience preferred.
• Commitment to compassionate, high-quality resident care.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Organize, oversee and supervise assigned unit activities and staff.
• Identify and respond to patient needs in a timely manner.
• Monitor, observe and document vital signs, treatments and patient responses.
• Administer medications and treatments as needed.
• Lead emergency situations and maintain accurate nursing reports and census roster.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and physicians.
