Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in long-term care; 3 years total experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day patient care; supervise, direct, and develop nursing staff.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Nurse Supervisors are primarily responsible for overseeing day to day patient care, supervising, directing, and developing nurse staff. Reporting to the Director of Nursing to ensure quality patient care within a long-term care center, skilled nursing facility or assisted living community. Manage registered nurses, certified nursing assistants and licensed practical nurses, as well as medical administrative personnel. The Nurse Supervisor shall perform a variety of direct and indirect nursing services to meet the personnel needs and promote the well-being of the residents in accordance with acceptable nursing practices and the policies of the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing


• Current R.N. registration, within state B.S. degree preferred


• Three years' experience preferred with a minimum two years in a long-term care facility


• Minimum of one-year previous leadership experience
