Job summary

Autumn Care of Norfolk in Norfolk, VA is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our skilled nursing team. The role focuses on assessing residents, developing care plans, administering nursing care, and supervising aides to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

We offer a $2,500 sign-on bonus, flexible pay options, generous PTO and benefits, and strong leadership to support staff development. Shifts are full-time, Monday–Friday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Must possess current, unencumbered RN license in Virginia.
• CPR or BLS certification required.
• Experience supervising nursing staff is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate electronic health record software.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer nursing care and evaluate outcomes.
• Supervise nursing assistants and other personnel.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local standards and policies.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to assess resident’s needs, develop an individualized care plan, administer nursing care, evaluate nursing care and supervise nursing assistants and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care in a SNF setting. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our community, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services or designee to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community’s administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory experience preferred.

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN within the state in which you work.

• Must possess a current CPR or BLS certification.

• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.

Shift & Wage:
