Overview

NeuroPsychiatric Hospital of Indianapolis, part of the NeuroPsychiatric Hospitals family, is seeking a Nursing Supervisor (RN) to serve our patients and hospital leadership. Under the direction of the DON, the Nursing Supervisor will help plan, direct, and evaluate patient care and manage nursing department responsibilities. Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing nursing functions
• Assess patient conditions through observation, interviews, lab results, and other data
• Develop nursing care plans aligned with patient assessments and physician treatments
• Supervise non-professional staff, guiding and demonstrating proper methods
• Evaluate patient responses and modify care plans as needed, consulting physicians when necessary
• Administer medications, initiate IVs, perform lab draws, and report findings
• Perform Point of Care testing, maintain competency, and document results
• Carry out complex and routine treatments as prescribed
• Conduct regular patient rounds, observe symptoms and reactions, and take corrective actions
• Identify operational issues and coordinate with hospital departments for resolution

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred
• RN license in Indiana
• Minimum one year of nursing experience
• Experience in nursing education, psychiatric, or acute care settings preferred but not required
