Job summary

Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA is seeking a Clinical Program Coordinator for Stroke & Sepsis to provide clinical leadership, coordinate programs, and support education and performance improvement across the stroke and sepsis pathways.

You will partner with nursing, medical staff, EMS, quality, data, case management and other stakeholders to ensure protocol adherence, regulatory readiness, and data-driven improvements that enhance outcomes for stroke and sepsis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required with active RN license.
• RN license in California required; BLS certification on hire.
• Stroke or Neuroscience certification required or within 6 months.
• Strong clinical background in acute care stroke and nursing leadership.
• Ability to lead education, performance improvement, and regulatory readiness.
• Proven ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Preferred master’s degree in a related field and NIH Stroke Scale cert.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for stroke and sepsis programs.
• Coordinate program activities, education, and performance improvement.
• Support regulatory and accreditation readiness and data review.
• Educate staff on protocols and best practices for stroke and sepsis care.
• Collaborate with nursing, medical staff, EMS, quality, and other stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

California Registered Nurse License

Certification in Stroke or Neurosciences

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

California Fire and Life Safety Card

SCRN, CEN, CCRN, CPHQ, NE-BC or similar

3 years of clinical experience in acute care stroke care

3 years of Acute care nursing experience

Master's Degree in Nursing / Healthcare Administration / Quality / Education (preferred)

NIH Stroke Scale Certificate (preferred)

2 years as program coordinator / nursing leader / educator (preferred)

3 years in emergency, critical care, neuroscience, stroke, sepsis, quality, or performance improvement (preferred)
