Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking an RN for a Stepdown to ICU Career Pathway over 12-18 months. New graduates and experienced nurses are welcome. Sign-on bonuses: up to $5,000 for new grads and up to $10,000 for experienced nurses (1+ year).

The program provides hands-on clinical training, one-on-one mentoring, classroom sessions, and leadership coaching to build confidence and clinical judgment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with ADN, diploma or BSN.
• Active RN license in Missouri or compact state eligibility.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• New graduates encouraged to apply; hospital experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality; supports mentorship and team learning.
