Job summary

Scripps Health is seeking an Registered Nurse for the Stepdown Float Pool at Scripps Memorial La Jolla and Green Hospital in La Jolla. You will float between units, delivering direct patient care in a fast-paced environment with lean processes and collaboration with the Care Team.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of acute care RN experience, California RN license, and BLS/ACLS. Relocation incentives up to $7K are available for eligible hires, with a 12-hour day shift schedule.

• Current California RN license.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with stepdown or float pools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Float across La Jolla campuses as needed.

Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown Float Pool

Schedule: 72 hours per 2-week pay period | 12-hour Day shifts

Location: Scripps Memorial La Jolla and Green Hospital in La Jolla

This position is eligible for New Hire and Relocation Incentives up to $7K .

The RN in the Float Pool will float between Scripps La Jolla, widely known for the Prebys Cardiovascular Institute and Scripps Green Hospital campus recognized for their transplant program and spine services. This is the ideal position for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, busy atmosphere and appreciates the lean processes that the leaders and care teams are striving towards.

As RN in the Float Pool, you will have the opportunity to float to Definitive Observation. Enjoy the variety working for the Float Pool brings along with self-scheduling and 4-week scheduling which provides maximum flexibility.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing direct patient care within the scope of your practice.
• Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
• With quality patient and family-centered care in mind, the RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under their supervision.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original department/specialty
• Must remain in original Job Title
• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter

Qualifications

Required:

• One (1) year of recent RN experience in an acute care setting within hospital environment.
• California Registered Nurse License
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS provider certification.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Progressive Care experience highly preferred
• Medical, Surgical, Telemetry and Definitive Observation experience

Minimum Rate (USD): 59.16 - Maximum Rate (USD): 85.68
