UNC Rex Healthcare is seeking compassionate registered nurses to join the Staffing Response Team as part of the inpatient float pool. You will float across multiple units at UNC Rex Raleigh and Holly Springs campuses, providing care wherever needed.
Ideal candidates hold NC RN licensure, a BSN preferred, and at least two years in acute care. This per diem role requires the ability to work 12-hour days at least every other week and a strong team orientation to support patient care across services.

Where You’ll Work: UNC Rex Raleigh and UNC Rex Holly Springs campuses. Daily assignments are determined based on staffing needs at both facilities
Role Overview:This position is ideal for nurses with Critical Care (ICU), Intermediate, Emergency Department, Medicine Acute, Surgery Acute Health experience. By being a member of this care team, you have a global view that expands your knowledge and skills without limiting you to a single area. Teammates must be able to float to at least 2 service areas.
Shift & Scheduling Expectations: You must be able to work at least one 12 hour dayshift every other week or 3 shifts in a 6 week period.

Other information:
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical information and technical procedures. Ability to document clinical information. Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from patients, physicians, family members, and other Rex staff. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
