Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a registered nurse for direct patient care in a 12-hour day shift role in St. Louis, MO.

You will deliver patient care, education, and assist with exams and procedures, while maintaining records and coordinating with the health care team. The ideal candidate holds an Associate Degree in Nursing, current MO/IL RN licensure, and BLS certification, with a strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in MO and/or IL per Compact Act.
• Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Administers medication and monitors patient status per approved nursing practice.
• Counsels patients and families on disease processes and symptom management.
• Maintains accurate and timely medical records.
• Collaborates with the health care team to optimize outcomes.
• Assists providers with exams, procedures, prescriptions, and refills.
