Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans, LA is seeking an experienced RN Staff Nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in accordance with our standards and policies. This role requires current Louisiana RN licensure, BLS-HCP, and unit-specific certifications.

Qualifications

• Valid license or temporary permit to practice professional nursing in Louisiana.
• American Heart Association BLS-HCP certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Certification in Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy for Oncology units (ONCC) within 2 years.
• Perioperative Nursing certification (CNOR) or equivalent.
• PALS, CPI and NIHSS certifications required/obtained within 90 days.

Essential Functions:

The RN Staff Nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care based on the standards of care and the policies of LCMC Health. The RN delegates to professional and non-professional personnel involved in the delivery of care.

Qualifications

• Valid license or temporary permit to practice professional nursing in Louisiana. American Heart Association BLS-HCP.
• For MICU Department: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
• For Med/Surge, Nursing Unit Oncology, Hematology Oncology, Clinic Oncology, Oncology Infusion: Certification in Chemotherapy Immunotherapy conferred or issued by the Oncology Nursing Society/ ONCC (within 2 years of hire)
• For Perioperative Nursing: Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse / Medical - Surgical Nursing Certification Board
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association (NOEH receive within 90 days)
• Non-Violent Crisis Prevention (CPI, NCI-CPI) - Crisis Prevention Institute (NOEH employees must receive within 90 days)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - National Institute of Health (NOEH employees must receive within 90 days)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association (NOEH employees must receive within 90 days)
