Baylor University Medical Center, part of Baylor Scott & White Health, seeks a Registered Nurse for its newly renovated Specialty Surgery Unit (30 beds) in Dallas. The role supports a fast-paced inpatient surgical population with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio and a leadership culture focused on learning, mentoring, and professional growth.

The unit offers modern equipment and opportunities to advance clinical knowledge while collaborating with a highly skilled team and nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience in Med/Surg/Tele or PCU/IMC settings required.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing care on a fast-paced Specialty Surgery Unit (30 beds).
• Collaborate with a highly skilled and diverse surgical team to support inpatient procedures such as ENT, jaw reconstruction, and complex flap surgeries.
• Lead and participate in ongoing learning, mentoring, and professional development.
• Work with the nurse manager to ensure high-quality patient outcomes on a 12-hour night shift (3 shifts per week) including some weekends.
