Job summary

Mercy is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty for a PRN role across day, evening, and weekend shifts. You will deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in partnership with a multidisciplinary team.

This role emphasizes safety, education, and continuous improvement, with opportunities for professional growth and accreditation support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Valid driver's license required for Home Infusion nurses.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Previous nursing experience welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans.
• Involve patients and families in care decisions and education.
• Assess, document, and update patient care plans; SBAR and bedside reporting.
• Maintain patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development.
• Delegate and supervise patient care activities per scope of practice.
