Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 4th Floor Moffitt McKinley ICU/PCU. The unit cares for critically ill cancer patients requiring complex therapies, with a focus on a collaborative, interdisciplinary care model.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Nursing (or a higher degree) with RN licensure in Florida and current BLS and ACLS certification. The department emphasizes ongoing education, safety, and compassionate patient-family centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and 1 year of relevant experience may be considered
• Current RN licensure in the State of FL or multi-state privilege to practice in FL
• BLS and ACLS certification required; national nursing specialty certifications encouraged

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with hospital guidelines and ANA standards
• Use the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate care for critically ill medical/surgical patients in the ICU/PCU setting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and participate in ongoing education and training for evidence-based practice

This Surgical Intensive Care Unit provides a dynamic working environment that cares for critically ill medical/surgical patients requiring intubation, vasopressors, CRRT and various other modalities associated with critical care. Our nursing staff provides knowledgeable and skilled care within a unique interdisciplinary team. We offer CRRT classes and quarterly education workshops.To deliver individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies and in accordance with ANA code of ethics and external regulatory agencies. Registered Nurses embody the vision, mission, and philosophy of Moffitt Nursing and are committed to and accountable for personalized patient and family centered care and the concepts of Duffy's quality caring model/caring factors.
