Qualifications

• One year of nursing experience required.

• APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card within 12 months for pediatric chemotherapy.
• ACLS required for ICU/ED/etc.
• PALS required for pediatric areas (except NICU).
• NRP certification required for NICU; 30 days to obtain if coming from non-NICU background.
• Fetal Monitoring certification before completion of orientation.
• RN Fellowship Program requires one year of independent practice.
• Newly licensed RNs must obtain ACLS and/or PALS within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized RN care within the Fellowship Program.
• Administer chemotherapy and other therapies as per protocol.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Required Work Experience: One (1) year of nursing experience required.Other Information: \*\* Department specific credentials - See below- ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Certificate Required for those RNs administering chemotherapy. APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card required within 12 months of hire for those RNs administering chemotherapy for oncologic indication within the pediatric setting. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for ICU, ED, PACU, Endo, Tele, OB, MHN Pre-Op and Specialty Procedural areas. PALS required for Pediatric areas with the exception of NICU.- if RN is coming from a non-pediatric background, they have 30 days from date of hire to obtain PALS. NRP certification required for NICU - if RN is coming from a non NICU background, they have 30 days from date of hire to obtain NRP. Certification in Fetal Monitoring through National Credential Center or through AWOHNN (Intermediate or Advanced) for L&D RNs must be completed prior to completion of job orientation. RN Fellowship Program requires one (1) year of RN independent practice not inclusive of nurse orientation. RN Fellowship specialties require ACLS and BLS Certifications.
