Job summary

Baton Rouge General is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Special Procedures Team. You will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing vascular and interventional radiology procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and positive outcomes.

Requirements include Louisiana RN licensure, BLS and ACLS certifications, and the ability to work night and weekend call. We offer a comprehensive benefits program and strong professional development support.

Qualifications

Current Louisiana RN licensure required.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Experience in ER, ICU, or procedural settings preferred.
Strong critical-thinking, communication, and teamwork skills required.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing vascular and interventional radiology procedures.
Assess, monitor, and care for patients before, during, and after procedures.
Administer and monitor procedural sedation per protocol.
Assist physicians during vascular and interventional procedures.
Continuously monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition.
Maintain sterile technique and support procedural workflow.
Document patient assessments, medications, and interventions accurately.
Participate in on-call coverage, including nights and weekends.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, efficient care.
