Qualifications

• 1-2 years medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.

Job description

Position Purpose

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of care of comprehensive, quality care through use of the nursing process. This care is delivered to patients of all ages. Utilizes the nursing process by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating quality patient care to the patient in the unit.

• Identifies and collects data to determine nursing needs of the patient.
• Develops individualized nursing care plans based on assessment data including patient, physicians, and significant others in planning.
• Implements nursing care and coordinates care with the staff members.
• Evaluates care through patient and physician feedback and direct observation.
• Updates nursing care to reflect changes in the patient care needs.

Position Qualifications

• Current licensure as a RN in the Commonwealth of Pa., BLS required. ACLS required in GI Lab and preferred in Short Stay. PALS preferred in GI Lab and Short Stay.
• One to two years of previous/current medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred. Current experience in the specialty preferred.
