Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in the State of Missouri or Compact Licensure.
• GN must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Follows hospital policy to ensure patient safety and optimal care environment.
• Monitors staff compliance with safety measures and quality indicators.
• Coaches staff on safety standards and quality initiatives.
• Provides patient care and nursing interventions including medication administration.
• Documents all patient care activities accurately for quality monitoring.
• Communicates pertinent patient information to physicians and team members.
• Guides and directs patient care staff to meet quality goals and improve outcomes.
