Job summary

Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV seeks an experienced RN for Same Day Surgery PRN to deliver intra-operative care with a patient-centered approach. You will monitor patients emerging from anesthesia, document care, and collaborate with the health care team to ensure safe discharge.

The role requires Nevada RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, moderate sedation certification, CPAN or ASPAN membership preferred, and 3–5 years in peri-operative services across Endoscopy or PACU.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current Nevada RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification.
• Moderate Sedation- in house certification.
• CPAN, and/or membership of ASPAN preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years in Peri-Operative Services, for either Endoscopy, Pre-& Post-Operative Care unit, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. Or ICU required to qualify for consideration

Responsibilities

• You will provide intensive monitoring of patients emerging from anesthesia
• You will provide monitoring includes airway maintenance, SA02 status, vital signs, cardiac arrhythmias, paralysis, pain management, and agitation
• You will maintain patient records and documents according to standards
• You will direct ancillary staff. Maintains vigilance of patient progression toward meeting discharge criteria
• You will maintain professional and effective working relationships with all members of the Health Care Team
• You will support the mission, philosophy and goals of the HCA Hospital
