Job summary

White-Oak-Management,-Inc. is seeking an RN Safety Nurse to oversee resident safety needs and assist with direct care at White Oak of Charleston, SC. The role operates days, Monday through Friday, totaling 80 hours per pay period. A sign-on bonus is available when criteria are met.

This is a hands-on position requiring coordination with Restorative, Therapy, and Nursing leadership to ensure safe, compliant care for residents.

Qualifications

• RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Collects Occurrence Reports from units and logs them for review.
• Oversees completion and investigation of Occurrence Reports with staff statements and follow-up.
• Completes Summary of Investigation and Recommendations for Interventions.
• Routes Occurrence Reports to RAC nurses for care plan review and returns to Don and Administrator within 5 working days.
• Ensures lift assessment on admission/readmission.
• Performs lift assessments quarterly with each MDS and as needed by resident condition.
• Ensures lift status by resident doors matches data collection tools.
• Updates resident care guides as changes occur.
• Prepares monthly and quarterly QI/Safety/Occurrence Reports and presents to QI Committee.
• Participates in morning QI/Stand-up Meetings and communicates changes in lift status or devices.
