Job summary

Genesis Rehab Unit in Gardendale, AL seeks a Registered Nurse for the 7p-7a full-time shift with every-other-weekend rotation. You will provide comprehensive patient care to residents in a long-term care setting, while coordinating with the care team and families.

Responsibilities include nursing assessments, care plan development, medication administration, and supervising assigned staff to ensure quality outcomes. Strong communication and CPR certification are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with the nursing team, other disciplines, patients, and families to develop effective plans of care.
• Establish measurable short- and long-term patient goals with interventions to minimize rehospitalizations and evaluate outcomes.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
• Delegate patient care responsibilities to staff and supervise them to ensure tasks/interventions are implemented.
• Communicate patient information with assigned staff and between shifts.
