Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Rehabilitation RN to provide patient-centered care on a PRN basis. The RN will work within established standards and collaborate with the care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

You will assess, plan, and deliver nursing care, administer medications, monitor vitals, and support discharge planning while advocating for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse with an RN license.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or higher required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and evaluate patient care needs.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds and monitor vitals.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning with care team.
• Provide age- and culturally-appropriate care.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.

In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

What You Will Do In This Role

• You will assess, plan and evaluate patient care needs.

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB‑GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They also have access to (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
