Job summary

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • RN licensure required; BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • ACLS/PALS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the patient appropriately based on medical condition.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and maintain knowledge of orders.
  • Provide care suitable to patient age and condition, including basic self-care.
  • Develop and evaluate teaching plans with family involvement as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate nursing knowledge in treatments and services.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide patient care.
  • Assist physicians with procedures requiring technical skills.
  • Identify and address psychosocial needs of patients and families; coordinate with social services for discharge needs.
  • Demonstrate cost-conscious use of supplies and equipment.
  • Prioritize patient care effectively to ensure safety and quality of care.
  • Pursue lifelong learning related to nursing.
