Job summary

Louisiana Extended Care Hospital - Lafayette is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for direct hire, full-time night shifts in a high-acuity LTAC setting. This role offers an opportunity to care for medically complex patients using a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach.

You will work with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to tailor individualized care plans, monitor progress, and ensure safe and effective treatments while educating families and advocating for long-term recovery.

Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in LA or compact state
• BLS certification current
• ACLS certification current or within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill or medically complex patients
• Collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to coordinate individualized care plans
• Monitor patient progress, administer medications and treatments, and document clinical findings
• Educate patients and families, and serve as an advocate for long-term health and recovery
• Maintain compliance with all policies, standards, and regulatory guidelines

Required Skills

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• Active RN license in Louisiana or compact state
• 1+ year of acute care, ICU, or LTAC experience strongly preferred
• BLS required; ACLS required within 90 days of hire
