Job summary

HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pre-Op PRN team. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality care in a high-acuity environment and support fellow team members in delivering safe, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include assessing Pre-Op and Phase II patients, educating patients and families on medications, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license (or compact) required; active FL RN within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous acute care experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification required. ACLS and PALS preferred; must obtain within 6 months.
• Current CAPA or RN-BC certification required within 6 months.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and interpersonal communication skills; ability to read and follow written/verbal instructions; PC skills.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Pre-Op Team. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a high acuity environment. What you will do in this role:

• You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of Pre-Op and Phase II Recovery patients.
• You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• You will maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

What qualifications you will need:

• Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred; required within 6 months of position effective date.
  Current CAPA (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse) or RN-BC required within 6 months of exam eligibility.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
