Job summary

Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Clinic. This 0.5 FTE role (40 hours every two weeks) runs on a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:30 a.m.

to 4:00 p.m., with no evenings, weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements. You’ll assist providers with Botox injections, coordinate pain agreements and urine drug screening, and support adult and pediatric patients with brain injuries and other rehab needs.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher required.
• Current Wisconsin RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• One year or more RN experience preferred.
• Experience in outpatient or clinic nursing is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with Botox injection procedures.
• Coordinate and manage pain agreements and urine drug screening programs.
• Support adult and pediatric patients with traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and other complex rehabilitation needs.
• Provide telephone triage and EPIC in-basket management.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and care needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care.
• Help ensure an exceptional patient experience through compassionate, patient-centered care.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• One year or more of RN experience
• Previous outpatient or clinic nursing experience
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
