UC San Diego Health is seeking a registered nurse to join the team in the Procedure Treatment Unit (PTU). The role emphasizes autonomous nursing care, clinical judgment, and adherence to ANA standards. Magnet status reflects leadership, professional practice, and patient outcomes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• RN License issued by the State of California.

• PALS (must be obtained during 1st year of employment for new employees).
• Two (2) years of recent PACU RN work experience.
• Must have Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) RN work experience.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BSN.
• CPAN and/or CAPA.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

• Per diem shift requirement is an average of 1 shift per week. Must be available 1 weekend On Call per Month, 2 Weeknight Call Shifts per Month and 1 Major and 1 Minor holiday call shift. This is subject to change based on department needs.
• Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and locations based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.
• Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $190,342 - $190,342 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $91.16 - $91.16
