AdventHealth in Winter Park, FL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the PCU, night shift. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the health care team to deliver safe, high-quality care.

Requirements include an RN license, ADN or BSN, ACLS/BLS/PALS, and at least one year in PCU. The role offers full-time hours, weekend rotation, and a comprehensive benefits package from day one.

Formación

• Active RN license required.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1+ year in acute PCU hospital setting.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Florida Level 2 background screening.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information and outcomes.

Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week

Shift: Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (with weekend rotation)

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Ability to work as a Team player within a unit
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
• EKG competency
• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills)
• Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft windows based programs
• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ acute PCU care hospital setting

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
• PALS [Required]

Pay Range: $31.85 - $52.76
