Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Park, FL seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift in the PCU. You will assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, and educate families in a collaborative hospital setting.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, an Associate degree in Nursing, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, with a minimum of 1+ year in acute PCU care. Weekends rotation and a strong teamwork ethic are expected.

Qualifications

• RN license in Florida is required.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
• 1+ year of acute PCU care hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physiological, psychological, developmental and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and care activities.

Job Description:

Schedule:

Full-time, 36 hours per week

Shift:

Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (with weekend rotation)

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
