Job summary

Texas Health Flower Mound is seeking a Registered Nurse for PACU to provide safe, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment. You will respond to patient priorities, maintain comfort and support emotional well-being while delivering high-quality post-anesthesia care.

Requirements include a Nursing Diploma or ADN, with a BSN preferred, and at least 1 year of RN experience. BCLS must be current; ACLS and PALS are required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

  • Nursing diploma or degree is required.
  • Associate degree required; bachelor's preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe patient care focusing on safety, comfort and emotional needs.
  • Respond to priorities of care and collaborate with the care team.

RN/Registered Nurse-PACU

Work location: Texas Health Flower Mound - 4400 Long Prairie Rd, Flower Mound, Texas 75028

Work hours: PRN “as needed” one to two days a week– 9:30am-8:00pm, self-scheduling, on-call required.

Here’s What You Need
  • Nursing Diploma – Required
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing – Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing – Preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse – Required
  • RN (Registered Nurse) – Required upon hire
  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) – Required prior to providing independent patient care; must be maintained quarterly
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required within 90 days of hire
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment

As a nurse, you will focus on responding to others priorities regarding safety, physical and psychological needs while paying close attention to maintenance of comfort and human emotion during health and illness, while providing safe patient care.
