Job summary

HCA Florida Englewood Hospital is seeking a Recovery Room RN for PACU to deliver high-quality, efficient post-operative care in a high-acuity environment.

You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care, educate patients and families on medications and treatments, and maintain accurate records. Florida RN licensure with BLS is required; ACLS/PALS timing applies. BSN preferred and acute care experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Florida Registered Nurse licensure or compact licensure with active FL RN within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• ACLS and PALS certifications as required after specified periods.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in acute care strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for post-operative patients.
• Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment.
• Maintain and review patient records with tests and results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are seeking a Recovery Room Registered Nurse for our PACU. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a high acuity environment. What you will do in this role:

• You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of post-operative patients.
• You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• You will maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

Requirements:

• Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required after 6 months of hire/ transfer.
• Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required 6 months of hire/ transfer.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
