Job summary

Mercy Outpatient Surgery Center in Edmond, OK is seeking an experienced RN to provide patient care using the nursing process in the operating room and to coordinate with the surgical team for safe, high-quality care from pre-op through recovery.

The role requires a nursing degree and current RN licensure. One year OR experience is preferred; BLS and additional certifications may be required. Mercy emphasizes compassionate care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Preferred Experience: One year of operating-room experience.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Red Cross or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, Other unit-specific certifications as required

Position Details:

Location: Mercy Outpatient Surgery Center (I35) - Edmond, Oklahoma

Schedule: Five 8-hour OR four 10-hour shifts Monday-Friday (no weekends, no holidays, no call)

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
