Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, CO seeks a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a high-acuity hospital setting. You will assess patients across multiple domains, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and educate families about conditions and treatments.

Qualifications

• RN license is required and must be in good standing.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/CCNS or neonatal/pediatric credentials preferred.
• Associate’s degree in nursing required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, evaluating and revising as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care.

Job Description:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Ability to work as a Team player within a unit
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
• EKG (based on patient ; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements)

• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes
