Job summary

AdventHealth Riverview is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 4-on/10-hour shift in our acute care team. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and administer medications per orders, ensuring safety and quality of care.

You will monitor responses, adjust plans as needed, and educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies within a supportive, faith-based environment.

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care.

Job Description:

• (4) 10's 0600-1630 with Call Shifts

• Skills required to work in critical care area as defined by unit
• Excellent organization and interpersonal communication skills
• Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft windows based programs
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• Experience in a specialty area(s) [Preferred]
